MILAN, MI – October 1, 2010:  Out of the closet and into the shower, gay men clean up with the Dirty Boyz Play Clean line of body care products. Jaku Bodycare Inc, a boutique manufacturer of luxury artisan body care products, announced the launch of Dirty Boyz Play Clean, a unique grooming line exclusively for gay men. 

Included in its extensive line of high performance grooming products, Dirty Boyz Play Clean features anti-aging products, skin moisturizers, body washes and natural soaps.  Also offered are shampoo and conditioner bars handy for travel, candles, shaving products and gift baskets specific to the needs and tastes of gay men.

While working as a chemist for a major auto manufacturer, it became evident to Jaku Bodycare owner, Linda Jakubus, that there were no suitable products available in the marketplace to adequately protect the skin from the harsh environment of a manufacturing facility.  Drawing on her experience as a chemist and her medical background, Jakubus decided to create her own line of high quality skin care and body products. After extensive market research, Jakubus discovered her products were perfectly suited for the gay male market.
Says Linda Jakubus, owner of Jaku Bodycare, “Gay men are stylish and appearance-focused and they demand high quality products. The gay community has been largely ignored by the personal care manufacturing giants, even though the market is there. The gay community is underserved and we intend to change that.”
Research and development for the Dirty Boyz Play Clean line included direct input from members of the gay male community.  Particular focus was placed on pairing products with terminology that is familiar among gay men. “We had a great time developing and naming the products and our customers love what we came up with,” says Gregory Muncie, a gay male who consulted with Jakubus on the products.
